Ms. L turned 2 last month and we had a fun session today that ended with a tea party (which my daughter crashed!).
I can’t believe how much this sweet little girl has grown in the past year! She’s talking up a storm now too and she’s hilarious!

Birmingham, Alabama and Atlanta, Georgia - Newborn, Children, Family, Maternity Photographer
Welcome to my blog! Take a look around. Here you'll find recent posts of sneak peeks from sessions I have done, as well as contests and news.
Photography gives me a creative outlet and a way for me to freeze time. Time goes by even faster with a child, and photographing mine allows me to keep her small and with me forever. God gave me the gift of photography. I share my gift of capturing and freezing time with others, and the thought of how I am able to do that for my clients, family, and friends - makes me smile!

First of all, I must apologize for the blogging hiatus! We moved into our new house, unpacked, had a birthday party and housewarming party, and as a result, my blog has been sorely neglected.
I’m also working on some exciting new things/changes for Shooting Star Photography, so add all that up, and my blogging time has been very limited. More to come on the new stuff soon!
Ok, enough with the excuses, on to a preview of one of my favorite sessions EVER! I had so much fun with this 2 yr old brother and his 7 month old sister. I cannot even tell you in words - so I’ll let the images speak for themselves.

Is he jumping or flying?

And a B&W for good measure that melts my heart!

Hope you have a great birthday party today, G!
Sweet baby Ella and her 2 year old big brother, Ty, were SO precious today. Ty is so interested and sweet to his little sister…
It has seemed to me like most 2 year olds with new baby siblings are rarely interested in having any pictures with the newest member of the family, but I have lots of sweet moments captured between Ty and Ella today.
Here’s my favorite-

I love that the fabric on the bed is the same fabric used in Ella’s nursery!
Here are a few more favorites from today-

Oh, Owen! I adore his red hair. Can you tell who he got it from?

I have to keep this post short and sweet because the moving truck is coming at 8 a.m. in the morning, but since I may be a few days without internet access, and I’ve been packing like a mad woman today, I at least wanted to put a few pictures up from my shoots in Atlanta this past weekend!
First up is the Webb Family. I shot them about this same time last year and it’s amazing to see how much Nathan (almost 4) and Jessie (2) have grown in the past year!
Last time, Jessie was barely walking, but this year she gave me a good workout
I had so much fun during their session and am going to have a heck of a time narrowing these down!

Next up was Owen, who is almost 2! I photographed Owen the weekend before I moved last year, and I shot him the weekend before I moved this year. Hmm…. what a coincidence :). Owen was in my daughter’s daycare class back in Atlanta, and I was amazed to see how tall he is now! I adore his red hair and his awesome parents!

…she doesn’t really like to cooperate for my camera very often! But I still think she looked adorable in this outfit and tiara :). I will have this available for use for girls ages 2-3 if anyone is interested in having their daughter photographed in it!

Sawyer is so full of personality and we had such a fun time playing at the park, I think we all forgot that we were there to take his 3 year pictures!
I hope you have a happy birthday this week Sawyer!

I will post real sneak peeks later this week, but for now, check out what I did this past weekend. It was a busy one!
As soon as I got to Atlanta I met up with the fabulous Jody of Jodylynn Photography and her family for lunch.

Then it was off to Grace’s christening-

Followed by a reception and and a quick session with Grace and her family-

Yesterday was jam-packed. I began the morning with Natalie-

MJ-

and Naim-

Then it was off to baby Linden and big sister Siler’s house for newborn pictures. Linden had been in the hospital for a few days with a fever, but luckily made it home and was feeling great in time for our session!

I wrapped up the weekend with Sawyer! He will turn 3 in two weeks. We had a blast at the park-

Whew, that wears me out to think about it all over again, but it sure was fun! Stay tuned for more this week…
Ava is my daughter’s best friend. We talk about Ava no less than 10 times a day, starting in the morning when we wake up and at night when we say our prayers.
They are a week apart in age and as thick-as-thieves all day at school. It absolutely breaks my heart that we have to change daycares when we move, and Kate won’t get to see Ava every day :(. I guess we will just have to plan plenty of play dates on the weekends!
I was able to spend the morning with Ava and her awesome parents to capture some pictures for her upcoming birthday! I can’t believe in just 2 months our babies will be two years old!

Ava, where’s the bunny’s nose?

I try not to post too many pictures of my child here because I don’t want anyone to get sick of seeing her! But today I did a “real” session with her (well, as real as I can get with my own baby) because I’m going to need some pictures for her upcoming 2nd birthday party invitations. We had alot of fun today and I was surprised to see some of the cute ones I ended up with. Here are some I thought I’d share. And don’t worry grandmothers, I will be making you some special surprises with these :).

And my favorite from today. She looks so innocent - hahaha. I know better!
