Ms. L turned 2 last month and we had a fun session today that ended with a tea party (which my daughter crashed!).
I can’t believe how much this sweet little girl has grown in the past year! She’s talking up a storm now too and she’s hilarious!

Birmingham, Alabama and Atlanta, Georgia - Newborn, Children, Family, Maternity Photographer
Welcome to my blog! Take a look around. Here you'll find recent posts of sneak peeks from sessions I have done, as well as contests and news.
Photography gives me a creative outlet and a way for me to freeze time. Time goes by even faster with a child, and photographing mine allows me to keep her small and with me forever. God gave me the gift of photography. I share my gift of capturing and freezing time with others, and the thought of how I am able to do that for my clients, family, and friends - makes me smile!

Remember me mentioning that Heston’s Birthday party was packed with amazing details and that his mother was the next Martha Stewart?
Check these out. What a great first birthday party! I think Heston’s mother, Rebecca, should moonlight as a party planner! It probably doesn’t hurt that she’s an incredible architect, so she has an eye for detail!
The theme was jungle animals and exploration - lots of green and orange and bright colors-

LOVED this cake from Edgar’s bakery that Rebecca designed for them and they implemented. I overheard her telling the story of how she wanted the pretzels on there and that they were probably scratching their heads on that request… It turned out adorable and SO delicious! You can’t go wrong with an Edgar’s cake. Don’t tell my personal trainer!!!

The food table was packed with yummy stuff!

I loved this outdoor dining setup!

In case someone didn’t want cake, she had an ice cream table! Notice the cute sugar cones she made-

Heston’s homemade smash cake… which he LOVED by the way! - in case you missed it.

Even the lime green punch and the tea glasses were in on the theme-

This customized birthday banner was probably my very favorite part! Rebecca took pictures of Heston throughout the year, converted them all to a sepia/b&w color, had them printed on cardstock with rounded corners. Each picture had a letter on it to spell out “Happy Birthday!” She hung each from ribbon and attached the ribbon to twine. So creative!

The birthday boy got LOTS of fun presents!

And last but not least - the cool favors! Homemade animal crackers (Heston’s maternal grandmother made those) and custom bookmarks thanking guests for attending the big event! In the middle here is Heston’s birthday bib which his paternal grandmother made. This family is full of creative and crafty people! Heston’s grandmother, Jane, co-owns a monogramming company here in Birmingham called 2 Stitches. She does beautiful work. Email her at twostichesal @ aol . com (remove spaces) if you need anything monogrammed or personalized gifts!
Thanks Rebecca and Tom for such a wonderful party! I loved being a part of it!

To say that Heston enjoyed his cake would be an understatement! What a fun party this little guy had, and the best part was that he loved every minute of it! Expect more party details pictures later this week… Heston’s mommy is the next Martha Stewart!
Happy 1st birthday Heston!
This first picture could be my new favorite. Looks like Heston may be making another appearance on the blog header! Those are his chubby thighs above. Blue is his color, don’t you think?

I love this smile. It’s really contagious! Just looking at this makes the corner of my mouth turn up!!!

I was so excited to get to capture gorgeous little Lindy’s first birthday party! What a fun party her parents threw for her, and what an incredible family. I could just feel how much this sweet girl is loved! I can’t wait to do her real 1 year session in a couple of weeks. Here’s a quick sneak peek of what is to come. I’m off to the beach with my family and friends for a week. Whoohoo!

Guess who turned 1 yesterday? That’s right, it’s Lake!!! He had such a fun party and he loved every minute of it if you can’t tell from these pictures!
Here are a few snapshots from yesterday. His mother did such a great job with his party. Thanks again, we had a great time!
This is while we were singing Happy Birthday… He was fascinated by the flame on the candle.
