Shooting Star Photography

Sweet Aiden is now a year old! It’s hard to believe this time last year he looked like this -

And now he’s such a big boy!

Happy Birthday, Aiden!

It has been 11 days since Davis’ birth, and he was so excited about his first real photo shoot, that he thought it would be more fun to stay awake for most of our session! His mommy emailed me later to tell me that he had been cashed out for the entire afternoon after I left. I think he likes me :).

Of course we had to get big sister, Sally, in on the fun! For the most part, she’s been ignoring the newest family member. But there were a few sweet moments, and some funny ones too!

Congratulations “M” family! I look forward to watching Davis grow over the next year!

These parents waited, prayed, and went through so much to have this little blessing in their lives! Now that he’s here, they are enjoying him so much and giving him more love than you can possibly imagine.  I think you can see how much they adore him by the way they look at him, and how they just soak him in.

It was so much fun to photograph this sweet boy with his mommy and daddy! He was all smiles and such a trooper… even in this crazy heat wave we’ve had! Check out these cheeks and smiley eyes -

Remember these guys?

They went home a few days after our NICU session, and I was able to visit a couple of weeks later and do their newborn session! They were precious and slept awesome despite being almost 2 months old! They were just a few days shy of their due date when I captured their sweetness -

I loved this session with this family! The brothers quickly opened up with me and I was able to capture their personalities and how much fun they have together.

These adorable twin brothers were born about 2 months before their due date, but are doing great and will be going home very soon. In fact, one of them is going home this week! I know their parents are very excited about this news.

This family found me through the Pictures of Hope foundation, which provides a complimentary session and pictures to parents with babies in the NICU. I feel it’s a priceless gift I can give to parents by documenting this time in their baby’s life.

The staff and facilities at Brookwood Hospital were very impressive! The nurses were wonderful and so happy to hear what Pictures of Hope offers to parents.

Here are the special little guys I was blessed to meet this past weekend. Their mother was beautiful and beaming with pride at her handsome boys. This was the first time she had ever held them in her arms at the same time -

These two adorable boys are almost 3 years apart. Older brother’s 5th birthday is tomorrow, and little brother just turned 2 a little over a month ago! They were honestly the sweetest and happiest little guys. I had a great time photographing them!

John Daniel and Molly Kate - born at 33 weeks and going home 4 weeks later! Such sweet babies and such proud parents. It made the time I spent with them so nice - to see such gorgeous little babies and parents who were beaming with excitement.  After I left, they were one injection away from finally being able to take their first car ride and see their home. I am so proud to have been able to share this time with them today!

John Daniel was so excited about going home, he didn’t want to sleep! I don’t blame him

Two newborns this weekend is going to give me baby fever…  I think Lexi pushed me over the edge! It was something about her round cheeks that reminded me of my own daughter as a newborn.  She is absolutely beautiful! Needless to say, I fell in love with Lexi - and her family. We had a great time chatting while we waited for Lexi to drift back into a deep sleep.

Becket was such a strong and alert baby for a 5 day old.  He was very curious what I was doing and wanted to keep an eye on me at all times!

Isn’t he adorable? He weighed 6lbs and 4oz at birth, so I thought this would be a fun shot to try. Check out the weigh on the scale. If you can’t tell, it’s on his birth weight-
