Shooting Star Photography

Sally is 9 months old now… It seems like just yesterday she was born! I have adored seeing her every 3  months and watching her grow.

Isn’t she beautiful? I love her sweet face and big blue eyes!

She was modeling for me here, like she was having her glamor shots made!

I adore the rolls… They won’t last long once she starts walking

First of all, I must apologize for the blogging hiatus! We moved into our new house, unpacked, had a birthday party and housewarming party, and as a result, my blog has been sorely neglected.

I’m also working on some exciting new things/changes for Shooting Star Photography, so add all that up, and my blogging time has been very limited. More to come on the new stuff soon!

Ok, enough with the excuses, on to a preview of one of my favorite sessions EVER! I had so much fun with this 2 yr old brother and his 7 month old sister. I cannot even tell you in words  - so I’ll let the images speak for themselves.

As soon as I got to Atlanta I met up with the fabulous Jody of Jodylynn Photography and her family for lunch.

Then it was off to Grace’s christening-

Followed by a reception and and a quick session with Grace and her family-

Then it was off to baby Linden and big sister Siler’s house for newborn pictures. Linden had been in the hospital for a few days with a fever, but luckily made it home and was feeling great in time for our session!

I wrapped up the weekend with Sawyer! He will turn 3 in two weeks. We had a blast at the park-

Whew, that wears me out to think about it all over again, but it sure was fun! Stay tuned for more this week…

Sweet baby Elizabeth is nine months old now! I took her newborn photographs last July, and I will be taking her little brother’s newborn pictures THIS July. Yes, you read that right, Elizabeth is going to be a big sister in just two and a half months! Isn’t that exciting!!?

Elizabeth’s front teeth were coming through the day of our session, but she didn’t let that get her down. We had a great time hanging out and playing. I love some of the captures I got of this beautiful family!

I will see you all again in just a few months!

Mary Ellis is growing up before my eyes! I did her 3 and 6  month pictures too and I just can’t get over her eyes. Each time I photograph her, they just amaze me!! She’s such a gorgeous girl!

I loved the color in this picture-

Mary Ellis wasn’t so sure about her tootsies touching the grass. It was so funny because my child did the same exact thing at 9 months… I have a picture to prove it that I need to dig up!

I loved this expression! I think this picture needs a clever caption. I’m just not that clever tonight

I know I’m a little early on this - but seeing these pictures made me laugh, so I had to share them! You gotta love the mama’s boys and the daddy’s girls in your life!

I had the wonderful fortune to spend a short part of an afternoon with Heston and his mommy and daddy on a beautiful, warm, winter day here in Birmingham!

I promised a few weeks ago we’d see more of Heston, so here you go! I have so many favorite and cool pictures from this session… I may have to post another sneak peek once I really start editing them.

Thanks Rebecca and Tom. Once again, Heston was so great and all smiles, and I love that!!!

The first one here is my favorite, and it was Rebecca’s idea! She’s an architect and has such an eye for design and style, I love working with her. She encourages me to think outside the box and that’s so much fun for me!

I think this one would look great on a big canvas…

And I think this one would look great in a thick black frame with a large white matte, hanging in their red kitchen (now I think I can be the designer - ha!). I processed this one with a slight urban feel… and I love how it turned out!

I held my first mini session of the season in Atlanta last weekend. The good people at Atlantic Station gave me exclusive permission (which I shared with Jody on Sunday for her sessions!) to have access to their ENORMOUS and beautiful Christmas tree. The official lighting of the tree is November 22nd where they will have snow and everything! So go check out Atlantic station if you missed out on a mini session to see this gorgeous tree!

All of my clients for Saturday were repeat customers of those I’ve had throughout the year (a couple I have now shot 3x’s this year!) ! It was so fun to see how much they’ve grown and learned over the time!

It was so much fun, even though it was cold! Thanks to my wonderful assistants who helped the day go off without a hitch! I look forward to 2 packed days of mini-session in Birmingham this weekend!
