Shooting Star Photography

I have been taking portraits of Mary Ellis at 3, 6, and 9 months and tomorrow she will be one! For her one year photoshoot, we wanted to include the whole family.

It’s amazing how much she’s grown and how beautiful she and her sister, Carson are!

I had a great time hanging out at their house this morning. Happy Birthday Mary Ellis-

Mary Ellis has the most amazing blue eyes. They look just like her mommy’s!

I adore this one of mommy and her girls!

We can’t forget big sister, Carson who wanted to model for me today also!!!

And of course, this one just melts my heart - I think I’ve mentioned many times here my weakness for daddy-daughter(s) portraits!

Henry broke all the rules for me! He was the sleepiest, most perfectly curled up newborn I’ve ever had  - and he was 18 days old. Usually they stop acting so “fresh from the womb” around 14 days old and the baby acne and cradle cap begins - but nope, not Henry. If these portraits don’t give you baby fever - well, nothing will!

Another thing I loved about this session, is that mom and dad took a break and were able to nap and relax while Henry and I took all of his solo pictures.  I felt free to take my time with sweet Henry, and that was very fun! Mom and dad, if you ever need a babysitter - call me

He did wake up for a short time, and I got this cute expression!

What a perfect family. Henry even slept through family picture time!

These two were Henry’s mom’s ideas… very cute!

I love Savannah! She has the best personality of any 3 year old I’ve ever met and she is absolutely gorgeous. It doesn’t hurt that she has beautiful parents who are awesome too!

My goal for this sneak peek was to showcase Savannah’s personality. She’s fun, she’s happy, she’s sweet,  and extremely loving.  If you can see that in these pictures than I did my job!

I’m loving the bokeh in this picture. It almost reminds me of a watercolor painting. What do you think?

I finished up pictures of this handsome boy with his family last night and I wanted to come back and share a few more. I loved the colors and how happy and beautiful they all are together!

I love this set of family pictures presented as an 11×14 storyboard. It would look great framed, as a lean-to on a desktop easel, or my favorite - presented as a Gallery Mount.

Jack is one too!  I was so excited to see him because Jack was another of my newborns last year. The funny part is that I took his newborn pictures on the same exact day  - June 14th a year ago. I thought that was so cool how it worked out that way!

He’s such a happy and smiley boy and was in the best mood during our photoshoot. I had a great time playing with this family! Aren’t they all so good-looking?

Well… she will be one on Thursday, the 18th, if we want to be precise! Hannah Claire shares the same birthday as her beautiful mommy.

What a wonderful birthday present her mother had last year! I remember her emailing me to tell me her water had broken and she was in labor. I was so excited!  Hannah Claire was one of my first newborns, and here she is now a year later and as beautiful, happy, and easy going as she was last year!

Her parents indulged me in trying out a new location and I was thrilled with so many of the shots we got. Here are a few favorites from today -

Aren’t her eyes the most amazing you’ve ever seen? I promise you I didn’t touch these in any way. In fact, this picture is SOOC (straight out of the camera), just resized and sharpened for the web!

I am in Atlanta this weekend for a back-to-back & packed weekend, but couldn’t help share this picture of William and his gorgeous mommy.

Expect many more shares from this session because I have a ton of favorites!

This one absolutely speaks to me emotionally-

I think William has the best lips ever!!! What a handsome boy!

Silor is a gorgeous and happy 2 year old girl who is going to be a big sister soon!

I’ve known her mommy and daddy for a long time, so it was great to get to see them as a family and photograph them with their happy baby girl.

This smile is so infectious. I love it. I couldn’t help smiling and laughing when I saw the sweet faces and pretty smiles she gave me!
