Now that I’ve reached 100+ Fans, it’s time for a contest!

Here’s how to enter-
2 easy steps-

1. Put this text in your facebook status: I am entering to win a free photo session & you can too - www.shootstarphoto.com/fanpage

2. Come back to the fanpage and write on the wall and let me know that you’ve updated your status and you would like to enter the contest.

That’s it!

Here is the fine print-
1. One (1) entry per facebook account (multiple family members are allowed, however!)
2. Contest ends Saturday, July 11th at 9 a.m. central time. One person will be randomly selected to receive the mini-session, valued at $250.

Package includes:
* 30 minute family photo-session at a location chosen by the photographer
* Online Gallery of 10-15 images from the session
* CD of high resolution files with a print release
* 25 press- printed, folded 5×7 holiday cards (winner will be able to select from a variety of card designs)

3. Contestants will be able to chose a holiday mini session in Birmingham, AL or Atlanta, GA
4. Shooting Star Photography will add the winner as a facebook friend (if necessary) to verify that there was a status update to complete step 1.
5. If the winner is unable to attend the mini-session for whatever reason, it is non-transferable or redeemable for cash or credits with Shooting Star Photography.

I have been taking portraits of Mary Ellis at 3, 6, and 9 months and tomorrow she will be one! For her one year photoshoot, we wanted to include the whole family.

It’s amazing how much she’s grown and how beautiful she and her sister, Carson are!

I had a great time hanging out at their house this morning. Happy Birthday Mary Ellis-

Baby Henry | {Birmingham, AL Newborn Photographer}

Henry broke all the rules for me! He was the sleepiest, most perfectly curled up newborn I’ve ever had  - and he was 18 days old. Usually they stop acting so “fresh from the womb” around 14 days old and the baby acne and cradle cap begins - but nope, not Henry. If these portraits don’t give you baby fever - well, nothing will!

Another thing I loved about this session, is that mom and dad took a break and were able to nap and relax while Henry and I took all of his solo pictures.  I felt free to take my time with sweet Henry, and that was very fun! Mom and dad, if you ever need a babysitter - call me :)

Sassy Savannah | {Birmingham, AL child photographer}

I love Savannah! She has the best personality of any 3 year old I’ve ever met and she is absolutely gorgeous. It doesn’t hurt that she has beautiful parents who are awesome too!

My goal for this sneak peek was to showcase Savannah’s personality. She’s fun, she’s happy, she’s sweet,  and extremely loving.  If you can see that in these pictures than I did my job!

A family storyboard

I love this set of family pictures presented as an 11×14 storyboard. It would look great framed, as a lean-to on a desktop easel, or my favorite - presented as a Gallery Mount.

A Gallery Mount is a modern and beautiful way to present your images as finished pieces. Providing a classic look, the gallery mount has a beveled edge in black or white and comes ready to hang!

Jack is one too!  I was so excited to see him because Jack was another of my newborns last year. The funny part is that I took his newborn pictures on the same exact day  - June 14th a year ago. I thought that was so cool how it worked out that way!

He’s such a happy and smiley boy and was in the best mood during our photoshoot. I had a great time playing with this family! Aren’t they all so good-looking?

Well… she will be one on Thursday, the 18th, if we want to be precise! Hannah Claire shares the same birthday as her beautiful mommy.

What a wonderful birthday present her mother had last year! I remember her emailing me to tell me her water had broken and she was in labor. I was so excited!  Hannah Claire was one of my first newborns, and here she is now a year later and as beautiful, happy, and easy going as she was last year!

Her parents indulged me in trying out a new location and I was thrilled with so many of the shots we got. Here are a few favorites from today -

Aren’t her eyes the most amazing you’ve ever seen? I promise you I didn’t touch these in any way. In fact, this picture is SOOC (straight out of the camera), just resized and sharpened for the web!
